Terms of Service

DSpecs is a tool for modelling a software product as a domain model and compiling that model into specification documents an AI coding agent can consume. It includes a web application, an HTTP API, and an MCP server that agents connect to.

We may change, add, or remove features. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will say so before it takes effect.

Sign-in is passwordless: a one-time link sent to your email address, or Google/GitHub sign-in. There is no password to set, forget, or leak.

Because sign-in relies on your email account, keeping that email account secure is your responsibility. Anyone who can read your inbox can sign in as you. You can sign out of every device at once from your account settings.

Accounts are for one person. Sub-accounts and project members are the supported way to give other people access.

Everything you put into DSpecs — your domain model, specifications, documents you upload, and code references — remains yours. We claim no ownership over it.

You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, to display it back to you and to people you have given access, and to send it to the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy so that features you have chosen to use can work.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

When you use the AI import feature, the content of the documents you provide is sent to Google (Gemini) for extraction. Do not use that feature for material you may not share with a third-party AI provider.

Everything else — modelling, compiling specifications, delta updates, code mapping — runs on our own infrastructure and does not send your content to an AI provider.

AI output is generated text. It can be wrong. Review it before acting on it; the review step before anything is written into your model exists for exactly that reason.

Do not use DSpecs to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, to store malware, or to attack the service or other users.

Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, share one account among people who should each have a seat, resell access, or use automated means to consume resources beyond what the product is designed for.

We may suspend an account that is causing harm to the service or to other users. Where practical we will contact you first.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars. Prices are shown on the pricing page and in your account settings.

Payments are processed by Polar (Polar Software Inc.), who act as the merchant of record for the transaction. That means Polar — not DSpecs — is the seller of record and handles sales tax, VAT and GST where they apply. Your payment details are handled by Polar and its payment processor; we never see or store them.

Plan limits (seats, projects, AI imports, compiles) reset on the first day of each calendar month in UTC. They do not follow your signup date. Your account settings show the exact reset date.

You can cancel at any time from the subscription portal. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep your paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for.

If something goes wrong on our side and you did not get what you paid for, write to [email protected] within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it. We do not otherwise offer refunds for partial periods.

Refunds are issued through Polar and follow the payment method used.

Downgrading never deletes anything. If you drop to a plan with fewer projects, all your existing projects stay readable and editable; you simply cannot create new ones until you are back under the limit — archiving a project frees a slot.

The same applies to seats: nobody is removed from your projects when you downgrade. You are blocked from adding the next person until you are back under the limit.

We aim to keep DSpecs available but we do not promise a specific uptime. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside our control.

We are not responsible for failures of third-party services the product depends on, including AI providers, email delivery, and the payment processor.

You can stop using DSpecs at any time and request deletion of your account by writing to [email protected].

We may terminate an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms. If we do, and you had paid for a period you did not receive, we will refund the unused part unless the breach involved fraud or abuse.

DSpecs is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

DSpecs helps you produce specifications and feed them to coding agents. It does not guarantee the correctness of the code those agents write, or of the specifications themselves. You remain responsible for what you ship.

To the extent the law allows, DSpecs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For changes that materially affect your rights, we will notify you by email or in the application before they take effect.

Continuing to use DSpecs after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
